Kearney’s continues relationship with Scania by purchasing new Touring coach
Kearney’s of Cork continues their long-running partnership with Scania by purchasing a new 12.9m Touring coach. The new vehicle is fitted with Scania’s 9-litre diesel engine and paired to an Opticruise 2 gearbox. It also come with,51 seats, USB charging points for each passenger, a 50-litre fridge, DVD player with front and centre LCD screens and a built-in coffee machine. -
Scania Irizar i4 is just the ticket for Woodstones Coaches
Kidderminster-based Woodstones Coaches has taken delivery of an Irizar i4 built on Scania’s latest KNI360 generation chassis. The new vehicle comes with 57 reclining seats, climate control air conditioning and Alcoa Dura-Bright alloy wheels. It is also built to full PSVAR specification which includes a wheelchair lift and destination signs. -

Scania introduces world-class, versatile hybrid trucks
Scania is introducing Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) trucks that can be fitted with different powertrain and charging options, thus offering solutions that can fulfil various demands for applications. A new electric machine, GE281, works in tandem with a Scania seven or nine-litre combustion engine, providing unique opportunities for creating fossil-free transport solutions for heavy trucks with demanding bodywork. -
Scania unveils its new flagship, state-of-the-art service centre at Eurocentral
This new facility is an impressive addition to Scania’s property portfolio and will become the central hub for employees and customers of Scania Scotland. The previous workshop at Bellshill has now closed and all employees have moved across to this new location. -
Lloyds Coaches takes its first three Scania Irizar i6 coaches
Lloyds Coaches has taken delivery of three used Scania coaches, the first to enter service with the Machynlleth, mid-Wales based company. Equipped with Irizar i6 bodies, the purchase follows on from the successful trial of Scania's demonstration vehicle by Lloyds Coaches at the end of 2019 which generated a great deal of positive feedback from the company's customers. -

Scania participates in pioneering UK HGV electrification feasibility study
Scania is to participate in a major feasibility study into the operation of long haul electrified trucks utilising dynamic charging provided by overhead wires on electric roads. This will be the first study of its type to take place in the UK, the aim being to demonstrate to readiness of the technology for a national roll-out. -
