Former Industrial PhD student in R&D
Ulrika Lagerblad’s journey at Scania highlights the potential for growth and development within the company. After completing a demanding PhD in vehicle fatigue, she transitioned into leadership roles in strength simulations, where she has applied her deep technical knowledge to advance her field. "The greatest outcome extends beyond academic knowledge; it's the self-awareness and resilience that I now apply daily in my work," she says, now serving as Head of Strength Simulations within Emission Solutions Development.
Industrial PhD student in Procurement
José Campos Garcia, Scania’s first Industrial PhD student in Procurement, is researching the supply network of semiconductors and electronics, crucial for the company’s future. 'The autonomy and trust I receive at Scania allow me to balance my PhD research with meaningful work in practice,' says José. As a Sourcing Manager in the Procurement for Cabin and Electronics department, he is helping shape Scania's procurement strategies in the fast-evolving electronics sector.
