Scania Awarded 2026 SwedCham Honorary Award

29 May 2026, Shanghai

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China has announced that Scania has been awarded the 2026 SwedCham Honorary Award in recognition of our bold and outstanding investment and commitment in China - both the industrial development and commercial offerings for the Chinese market.

The 2026 SwedCham Honorary Award was presented to Scania in recognition of its bold and impactful industrial project in Rugao. The initiative represents a long-term strategic commitment and serves as a strong example of how a Swedish industrial leader can contribute to both industrial development and society at large.

Through close collaboration with local suppliers, communities, and technical institutions, Scania promotes skills development, knowledge transfer, and responsible business practices. At the same time, the company brings Swedish values of sustainability, safety, and efficiency into the local context, helping to strengthen industry standards.

By combining industrial leadership, innovation, and a values-driven culture, Scania Group China serves as a role model for how global companies can create lasting impact, both locally and globally.

“It is a great honour for Scania to be recognised among so many Swedish companies contributing to the business community in China. This award is very meaningful to Scania. It reflects not only the efforts of our colleagues, teams and partners, but also the strong belief we share in long-term cooperation, innovation, and responsible business development in China, with China and for China.” says Camilla Dewoon, Executive Vice President and Head of Scania Group China.

“An enormous thanks to all our colleagues in Scania Group China who make us the great company we are! More efficient, reliable and sustainable business to come thanks to our long-term investment and integration into the Chinese ecosystem!”
