Alejandro Gabino
Logistic Developer
The best part of my workday is being in an international team. The diverse points of view, backgrounds and experiences enrich my work. Every day I learn something new.
Living in China is amazing, it’s one of the best experiences of my life, the people, the food, the country, all made me feel at home!
Andrea Ding
Senior Packaging Engineer
Scania provides a platform where we could exploit our expertise in this new production hub. It gives me a feeling that the new site is so full of vitality and power of life. It’s so interesting to talk and listen to different perspectives of people from other side of the world, which make me feel like we are the same but also so different. It feels so great that we could work towards the same goal and get work done successfully.
Peter Yan
SCADA Developer
Scania is the first foreign-funded company I’ve ever worked for, and it’s so different to my previous employers in so many ways. Upon my onboarding, instead of technical documents and tasks to be completed, my Buddy Gram Dong and Tony Zhu showed me around, introduced me to the team and other team members. They did everything in a very systematic way, which made things so clear and accessible to me.They showed me the safety exits on our floor as the first thing. That’s the moment I knew I had really joined a company that prioritises people’s safety and health.
Anna Andersson
Development Engineer
The mix of things to do and the family-feeling is the best part of Scania! As a software developer at Scania, you get to do it all, in my opinion. You get to come up with ideas, talk to suppliers, discuss the ideas and challenge them in meetings. You get to implement the change in code, and you get to test – preferably on a truck. After production of the vehicle has started you also get to talk to customers and solve problems that arises. This “från ax till limpa” (from start to finish in Swedish) approach I find is not common to find at other bigger companies.

I'm from a small country in East Africa called Rwanda. I came to China in 2017 focused on a Master degree at Xiamen University during this time. And it's nearly been seven years since I arrived here.
Working for a reputable company like Scania provides valuable networking opportunities for career growth and advancement like skill development, and the chance to take on more responsibility.
Chloe Qiao
Cybersecurity Architect
What attracted me to Scania was the opportunity to work for a new organization with many interesting challenges and opportunities. Here at the R&D Asia organization we have a good atmosphere, both in the Swedish site and our Chinese sites. Everyone is very friendly, and people get together also outside of work. They are also very passionate about their work and are respectful and respect the individual.
Lou Zhang
Assembly Operator
As I was about to graduate and start my internship, I heard that Scania would be recruiting at my school. I searched online and found that Scania is a truck brand with nearly 130 years of history and is also a leader in the truck industry. At the school lecture, I was attracted by Scania's video showcasing the advanced assembly process of the engine and then decided to join the engine team.
Emily Wang
IT Business Analyst
I was intrigued by Scania’s multinational culture, open-minded leadership, and shared the same belief in continuous improvements, high efficiency and good work-life balance. They came out to be true now that I have been here for more than one year. We have members from several countries including Sweden, China, France, Poland, Brazil, India, Rwanda etc. And we are all working towards the same goals and milestones.
Shawn Jiang
Senior Process Engineer
The reason why I came to work at Scania is that it is close to my hometown and convenient for me to take care of my family. Compared with diesel engines for commercial vehicles and gasoline engines for passenger vehicles, there is still a broad application prospect for diesel engines, and Scania is the leader in this industry. During my training in Sweden, I learned advanced manufacturing processes for engines and experienced the excellent performance of trucks, and I personally felt the long-standing corporate culture of Scania.
Malin Malmborg
Project leader Hardware
I was interviewed for a recruitment-video that we later used for attracting Electrical Engineering talent and growing the team in China. In the video I say, “we never stand still”. To this day I still think this is the case, and I think this is one of the best parts of my job and the organisation. Another thing making this job really great is the team I belong to and all other colleagues I get to work with on a daily basis.
Sean Yi
Buyer
I began my journey at Scania as part of the trainee program, which provided a unique opportunity to explore many different departments during an intensive 15-month period. This experience was invaluable in helping me understand the breadth of Scania’s operations and discover my passion for procurement, which I found both fascinating and fulfilling with the perfect balance between strategic thinking and collaboration.
