Procurement

The mission of the procurement team in China is to develop the local supply chain for Rugao Industrial Hub and for the rest of the Scania industrial hubs. The local supply chain will be responsible for delivering parts and services for Scania Industrial Operations Asia. The localisation target of the company is 85%. Localisation goes beyond sourcing raw materials and components - it also requires a deep understanding of the Chinese market and leveraging local innovation capabilities.

Procurement team works in both Beijing and Rugao, to ensure a highly efficient and reactive way of working. With the strength of Volkswagen Group’s global supply chain fully utilized, we work with domestic suppliers at the same time.
