Scania Production System
The Scania Production System (SPS) gives us a shared way of thinking for us in order to achieve the best possible results together.
The production system is based on our shared values, principles, and methods, which together define how we should conduct our operations in an efficient and sustainable manner. The production system provides us with a universal language. It allows us to describe our organisation and gain an understanding of the challenges we face in a way that we all relate to – no matter where in the world or where in the organisation you work.
SPS is also a shared strategy for future challenges, which means that we work more efficiently with better results. Above all, the work becomes more enjoyable when we all see the whole picture.
We often use the SPS house to explain how the various parts of the production system are connected. Just like an ordinary house, the production system is built from the foundation up.
The foundation is our values and our leadership. Our principles are the walls, floors, and roof of the house. They are all dependent on each other and need to be in place for the house to function as intended.
