Highlights from the fourth quarter

Scania and Bellova are reducing emissions at Paris–Beauvais Airport by renewing the airport bus fleet with vehicles running on 100 % renewable B100 biodiesel. The initiative shows how existing technology can deliver immediate climate impact without disrupting daily operations.

Scania and LKAB take electrification further by introducing a fully electric heavy tipper truck into demanding mining operations. The collaboration demonstrates how zero-emission solutions can handle tough conditions while supporting the mining industry’s transition.

Scania’s NEXT ERA product debut has been met with strong market confidence and marks a new phase for Scania in one of the world’s most competitive truck markets, with all launch edition vehicles reserved ahead of deliveries. NEXT ERA is a new tractor product range tailored specifically for the Chinese market, targeting the highly competitive long-haul and high-volume segments. It complements Scania’s premium offering across the broader Asian market while further strengthening the company’s position in China.

Our purpose

The shift to a sustainable transport system is underway, and Scania is taking a leading role in driving it. Driving the shift matters not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because the future of our business depends on it.

Transport is transforming faster than any time since the industrial revolution, and it’s vital that we are ahead of the curve. To stay competitive and profitable, we need to embrace change, take risks  and show leadership. Those who fail to do so risk being left behind.

TRATON Group R&D now up and running

As of 1 July 2025, a unified Research and Development structure is in place across the TRATON Group. Around 9,000 colleagues from Scania, MAN, International, and Volkswagen Truck & Bus are now collaborating under one umbrella. For Scania, having a group-wide foundation to stand on, provides the possibilities to scale and deliver innovative, high-quality solutions in response to technological shifts, giving Scania a distinct competitive edge and helping our customers stay ahead in a fast-changing world.

Scania opens global industrial hub in China

Scania’s third global industrial hub in Rugao, China, is now fully operational. Complementing the company’s established industrial footprint in Europe and Latin America, the €2 billion facility spans 800,000 m², employs approximately 3,000 people and has a licensed annual production capacity of 50,000 vehicles.

The hub integrates the TRATON Modular System, building on the core design principles of Scania’s Modular System. It is supported by local R&D capabilities in Rugao and Shanghai, enabling the development of the new NEXT ERA product range.

Our decarbonisation journey
