Venture build
Scania ventures has an entrepreneurial mission to explore and commercialize new business models that lie beyond Scania’s core capabilities.
Identifying new business ideas
Scania Ventures is set up to help position Scania for the future transport ecosystem. It is identifying and commercializing new businesses based on customer needs and emerging technologies that lie outside the current core. Scania Ventures is sharpening venture building capabilities to build scalable ventures that will become future key businesses and create new profit pools for Scania.
Our industry is evolving
Innovating is nothing new to us. At Scania we have been doing it for 130 years in our core business of trucks, buses and engines. This is one of the key factors that have made us the world-leading company that we are today. As our industry evolves we also need to explore and develop ideas that lies beyond our core business today, not least regarding areas such as AI, digitalization and autonomous.
How Scania is exploring new business areas
To drive the shift to a sustainable transport system, we need to find brave and bold partners in the transport ecosystem. We need partners who share our vision and can help further develop and accelerate the adoption of new technologies outside our core capabilities. In this video Gustaf Sundell, Head of Ventures and New Business and Scania's CEO Christian Levin, discuss this topic in depth.
