FAQ – Services 360 Classic for used vehicles
Services 360 Classic (for used vehicles) is taking into account that used vehicles have different service and maintenance needs that come with age and wear. But also that warranty coverage on new vehicles eventually expire and needs to be accounted for. We have separated our offers to ensure that vehicle age never gets in the way of getting the right level of coverage, at a competitive price.
Our global service network consists of more than 1,800 workshops, always has superior availability of genuine Scania parts, and technicians that have unparalleled expertise when it comes to Scania vehicles. With Services 360 Classic we also offer discounts to cover maintenance, repairs or part replacements that are not already under contract coverage. So, if you're looking for a good middle ground between contracted fixed costs, and paying for repairs and parts outright, Services 360 Classic is a cost-competitive offering, without any compromise in terms of quality and with maximum confidence in long-term reliability and maximised vehicle life.
Control Package has a full suite of smart digital tools and services. To name just some examples, it provides access to the My Scania platform with features such as Fleet Position for live fleet tracking, our Service Planning tool and Vehicle Performance analysis for administrators – as well as Driver Evaluation, Check Before Drive vehicle checklists and digital Defect Reporting for drivers. All combined, these services enable a smooth and efficient communication flow between transport administrators and drivers. Monitoring Package is a simplified offering that focuses on enabling baseline vehicle connectivity and providing high-level data insights. For Services 360 Classic, we include Monitoring Package as the base of every package, but have included Control Package as an add-on upgrade for any supported vehicles – considering it is a very worthwhile upgrade for most fleets and operations.
The Core package is always available, but when it comes to the packages with further coverage – the service and maintenance history will have to be verified for eligibility, which varies the higher coverage you are after. Quite naturally, if we are to offer fixed price contracts – we need to know the vehicle and its components have been previously adequately maintained for each coverage level package.
The age at which a vehicle is considered used and applicable for the Services 360 Classic offer can actually vary in different markets around the world. But in whichever market you operate – your contract should be able to be moved seamlessly over to a Services 360 Classic contract package instead when a vehicle approaches the threshold age.
