FAQ – Services 360 for new internal combustion engine vehicles
Services 360 is designed to be a smart modular contract offering for your fleet, with a clear structure and recognisable package levels which align with your repair and maintenance priorities and how you want to manage the balance between known fixed costs and the risk of unexpected expenses.
As vehicles age, repair and maintenance needs change, and so does warranty coverage. That's why we created the Services 360 Classic offering, tailored specifically for used vehicles. All while still aligning to the same approach in terms of risk management with the package levels. This ensures that each vehicle – no matter its age or application – can get the exact right coverage for your priorities at a competitive price.
With the purchase of a new vehicle, the first 2 years (3 years for electric trucks) of Control Package is included in that purchase, and leads to a lowered initial cost for the Services 360 contract. For that reason we point this out to make it clear that the contract cost will be adjusted after the initial 2 or 3 years respectively.
The age at which a vehicle is considered used and should instead be covered under a Services 360 Classic offer can actually vary in different markets around the world. But in whichever market you operate – your contract should be able to be moved seamlessly over to a Services 360 Classic contract package instead when a vehicle approaches the threshold age. For more specific information, please talk to your local Scania representative.
FAQ – Services 360 for new electric vehicles
The Services 360 packages and our services offering structure is very similar even for different powertrains – still based around meeting your strategic needs in terms of productivity management. But electric vehicles have different components with different maintenance and repair needs. As an example, battery maintenance is a new factor to account for with electric vehicles, yet at the same time they require less maintenance in terms of e.g. filters and fluids. This changes the offering regarding coverage – which components are covered, how and to what degree.
The defining part of the Pro package is Scania ProCare, which is based on proactive parts replacements and maintenance to eliminate issues before they even occur – mainly in terms of internal combustion powertrain components. This is something we offer based on a huge amount of data regarding individual component wear from hundreds of thousands of vehicles over many years. A really good thing about electric vehicles is however that they simply don't have as many mechanical wear parts that wear out or break over time. Scania ProCare may of course become relevant even for electric powertrains in the future, when we have more and longer-term operational data with a high degree of statistically verified data accuracy – but for the best and most comprehensive coverage, our Full package has every part of your electric vehicles covered already today.
