The RMI offer from Scania

The Scania Repair and Maintenance Information (RMI) offer consist of three major parts:

  • This RMI portal is where you will find information and guidance free of charge

  • The Technical Information Shop where you can buy access to Scania RMI applications

  • Specific RMI where you can request to buy other related RMI information

Access to Scania Technical Information Shop (TIS) is available for operators on the heavy duty vehicle (trucks and buses) after sales market, defined by the Regulation EU 2018/858.

This site contains an overview of all information related to Scania RMI.

Here you can read about technical information and software tools required to perform repair and maintenance of Scania products.

On this site you can also read how to apply for Specific RMI information, relevant for i.e. publishers, diagnostic tool manufacturers and parts manufacturers.

The information on this site is giving explanations and guidance on how to proceed to obtain the RMI information of interest.

Scania Technical Information Shop

Scania TIS is a website for the purchase and display of technical information and software tools related to the maintenance and repair of Scania trucks and buses. The website contains the software applications required to access information and perform diagnostics on Scania vehicles.

Access to technical information and software tools is free of charge to national authorities, the Commission, and technical services.

To apply for a free account, choose the aforementioned as “functional area” in the application form.

When you have logged in to Scania TIS you can access the Download menu.

Here you will find software applications, required drivers and manuals.

We recommend you to download and read the manuals before attempting to install or use any application.

Before purchasing any licence key we recommend that you download and verify that you can install the application on your PC or laptop.

To connect your PC to a Scania vehicle you also need to purchase a suitable VCI (the connection cable between the PC and the vehicle).

Scania VCIs are available to purchase at your nearest Scania dealer. 

Scania RMI products

Scania MULTI RMI

The tool for everything except diagnostics.

Scania Multi RMI is a web application for presentation of technical information related to parts, maintenance and repair of Scania 3-series trucks and busses up to latest model.

The application presents technical information related to a unique chassis number. The system can also be used with other filters and then present information based on vehicle type or series.

Access to Multi RMI is time-based and can be purchased for periods of 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days, 30 days or 90 days.

First select the product and then the time you require. The purchase will be added to your shopping cart. When finished, go to the shopping cart, review your purchases and proceed to payment.

Scania Diagnose and Programmer 3

The main diagnostic tool.

Scania diagnose and programmer 3 is our main diagnostic tool. With this tool you can connect with 3-series trucks and busses up to the latest model.

To run the tool you need:

  • a standard PC, see technical requirements in TIS

  • the SDP3 software that you can download from TIS

  • a licence key that can be purchased and downloaded from TIS

  • a vehicle communication interface, VCI. You can purchase a Scania VCI from any Scania dealer

Note, the licence key is connected to your computer, this means that the first time you download a key there will be a licence key created on your computer and thereafter you only need to purchase extra time to the key/PC.

Purchase new licence key

The first time you use a cumputer to run Scania diagnostic tools.

When the application has been installed it must be activated with a licence key the first time before usage.

You should only buy a new licence once for each PC or laptop you wish to activate.


The Right-To-Use licence is time-based and can be purchased for periods of 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days, 30 days or 90 days. First select the product and then the time  you require. Purchase licence update

The thing to do every time you want to buy new access time on a computer.

When a licence has expired you should then only purchase licence updates, referring to the unique licence key you received at your first purchase.

The application will inform you when your licence is about to expire. A licence update can be purchased in advance, and installed when required. The time-based licence will only start counting after it has been activated/installed on the PC, not from the time of purchase.

BST

Is our diagnostic tool for Omni City, Omni Link and Citywide bodies (SDP3 is used for the chassis).

BST can be used on Omni City, Omni Link and Citywide bodies produced 2010 and later.

To run the tool you need:

  • a standard PC, se technical requirements in TIS

  • the BST software that you can download from TIS

  • a licence key that can be purchased and downloaded from TIS

  • a vehicle communication interface, VCI. You can purchase a Scania VCI from any Scania dealer

Note, the licence key is connected to your computer, this means that the first time you download a key there will be a licence key created on your computer and thereafter you only need to purchase extra time to the key/PC.

Canela+

Is our diagnostic tool for Omni Express and Scania Touring bus bodies (SDP3 is used for the chassis).

Canela+ can be used on Omni Express bodies produced 2011 and later and can be used on Scania Touring bus bodies assembled on a Scania chassis with a Euro VI engines.

To run the tool you need:

  • a standard PC, se technical requirements in TIS

  • the Canela+ software that you can download from TIS

  • a vehicle communication interface, VCI. You can purchase a Scania VCI from any Scania dealer

Note, this application don't have pay per view function. The software includes all buses produced until the time you purchase it. If you after a year or two see that there are new buses you cannot connect with you have to buy the updated tool.

Specific RMI

For the one needing more than Scania RMI applications.
