How Scania Brazil is accelerating the decarbonisation of transport
2 JANUARY 2026
Scania’s transformation towards a sustainable transport system is progressing globally – and in Brazil, the shift is tangible through concrete actions and close collaboration across sectors.
Road transport is a vital part of Brazil’s economy, and Scania Brazil is contributing to its decarbonisation by advancing renewable energy solutions and developing green transport corridors between key regions such as Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
Together with partners including the Brazilian Biogas Association, Scania is supporting the transition to cleaner fuels and technologies, while also working to shape regulatory frameworks that enable electrification and biofuels.
In production, switching to renewable biomethane at the São Bernardo do Campo plant leads to significantly reduced emissions and strengthens Scania’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing.
This is one of many steps in Scania’s global journey towards a decarbonised transport system – and a testament to how collaboration and innovation are driving the shift forward.
