How Scania supports ASKO’s journey to fossil-free transport in Norway
26 NOVEMBER 2025
Norway is rapidly advancing towards fossil-free transport powered by renewables and strong partnerships.
Together with ASKO – Norway’s largest grocery wholesaler, which ensures efficient distribution to grocery, retail convenience and institutional catering sectors – Scania is enabling fully electric operations supported by smart route planning, cutting-edge electric trucks and on-site solar energy. With continued collaboration and investment in charging infrastructure, long-haul electrification is within reach.
One of ASKO’s distribution centres already runs fully electric, and drivers report quieter, smoother and healthier workdays – even in Norway’s demanding climate and topography. Public charging remains a challenge, but Scania continues to invest and collaborate to enable long-haul electrification.
ASKO’s ambition is clear: 100% fossil-free transport by 2026.
