The Scania Public Launch, held on 23rd August 2016 at the Grand Palais in Paris, was a milestone occasion for Scania – a spectacular and high profile event that marked the global reveal of its new generation of trucks.


The event was attended by 1,200 guests in Paris – with tens of thousands more watching live online around the world.


This was Scania’s biggest product news in 21 years and its largest ever global audience, representing a diverse range of stakeholders, from media, politicians, influencers and lobbyists to Scania’s R&D, technology and product development partners, customers, customers’ customers and employees.


Although the long-awaited launch of the new generation of Scania trucks was the focal point of the event, its messages were even more far-reaching.


This was an important moment to launch Scania’s vision for the future, and its fundamental shift in focus.


The event positioned Scania as a forward-looking company, dedicated to driving the debate around a more sustainable society and, importantly, leading and shaping the transport industry to achieve this.


The set for the Public Launch event comprised a 40 metre stage arranged across three levels and containing over 250m² of LED screens – a dramatic environment for keynote speeches by Scania’s senior leadership team and the stunning reveal of the new generation of Scania trucks.
