New sustainable mobility
Scania made major progress in sustainability and operating economy in 2025, with the launch of completely new bus and coach platforms for combustion, plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and BEV powertrains, to meet varying business needs for operators, now and in the future. The new Super powertrain delivers up to 8 percent fuel and emissions savings and is compatible with renewable fuels. Meanwhile, we expanded our BEV offering to cover an even wider range of bus and coach operations, introducing new features such as upgraded batteries, the addition of a high-floor platform and the extension of our existing low-entry platform.

The Scania Irizar i6S Efficient PHEV received a Label of Excellence in driveline technology in the Busworld Vehicle Awards. It features a combination of the new Super driveline and electric components, delivering zero-emissions zone compliance and fuel and emissions savings of up to 40 percent.
