2021: The new Scania Super powers profitability
As Scania marks its 130th anniversary, the new Scania Super is launched to set a new benchmark for brake thermal efficiency at 50 percent - once again redefining the limits of combustion engine performance. The new Scania Super powertrain, with a brand new 13-litre engine is engineered to perfection and takes superior fuel efficiency one step further without compromising on engine performance. As the winner of the Green Truck Award for the sixth consecutive time for Scania, the new Super contributed to groundbreaking fuel savings of 8% from already market leading efficiency. Working as a truly integrated unit, the outstanding stamina of the Super engine was created in synchronicity with the wider gear range of a new gearbox and rear axles, that lowered the engines RPM's at cruising speed.
