2021: Launch of new Scania Interlink

The Scania Interlink was launched, mainly for use in urban environments and intercity traffic.

New chassis and body, with independent front suspension gave increased ride comfort along with loading capacity raised by 500 kg. The new driveline offered fuel savings of up to 8 per cent alongside a wide range of specification options, advanced safety features, new uptime services and a significantly updated driver area. New options included longer 2-axle buses with increased passenger capacity.

The Interlink was opted for a wide range of low-carbon powertrains, for biodiesel (FAME), HVO, liquified biogas, and hybrid options that significantly reduced CO2 emissions. The improved visibility and great turning radius added to great drivability. Traffic safety was improved by updated advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for good control of the vehicle through improved assisted handling, steering and braking. This, along with Scania Zone for driver compliance with speed regulations to minimise accidents and unnecessary costs.
