2021: Introducing new 13-liter gas engine
Scania introduced a new 13-litre gas engine for longer travel operations. The new engine enabled travel operators to take huge steps towards sustainability without doing a huge investment. The 13-litre gas engine offered the power and torque to handle even the toughest challenges. It is to be run on biogas or on natural gas – in compressed or liquified form, and with new tank options. This made it the most sustainable, yet viable ICE powertrain option on the market for long-distance operators.
