Frequently asked questions about Scania Driver
Scania Driver is the mobile app for Scania drivers. It gives you access to vehicle information, driving performance data and selected connected services to support your daily work on the road. The app is part of the My Scania digital ecosystem.
The role and workday of a driver are very different from that of a fleet administrator. Using two separate apps allows us to design and build two apps that are each tailored to its users’ needs. With smart separation of functionality we also avoid confusing user experiences through a role-oriented approach, and avoid having to split our development and design resources for managing and updating duplicate functionality in separate apps – except in key situations where it makes the most sense
Why not both? The honest truth is that which app you should use depends on what you are trying to achieve. If you want to start the cab heater remotely, that's a driver-centric feature and the Driver app is where you'll find it. But if you are looking for fleet KPIs, long-term vehicle data or where to manage the service planning for a truck, the Scania Fleet app is the right tool.
If you're as much a business owner as a driver – you'll find value in both apps as they fulfil different needs. Whether you are logged in to the Driver or Fleet app – you will see the data that is relevant to and associated with the role assigned to your Scania ID, and you can also use both apps alongside My Scania to access every aspect and functionality of our digital services.
With the Scania Driver app, you can check vehicle information, review driving and rest times, monitor your driving performance, view tachograph infringements, manage service details and complete digital checks before setting off. You can also find workshops and charging stations and access selected vehicle services, depending on your vehicle and market.
We would love to hear from you and learn how we could make our apps more valuable in your day-to-day operations. If you have any specific feature requests, please don't hesitate to send an e-mail to digitalsupport@scania.com and we will take it into consideration alongside our already planned future updates.
