As a Development Engineer, Hiba Ben-Talha is part of a team at Scania’s R&D Software Simulation. The team is responsible for a software simulation platform, a virtual truck and bus, where designers and engineers can test new products before trying them out in real life.
“I love working with smart people. You are using your creative thinking and it requires collaboration with great colleagues. Teamwork is essential,” says Hiba. “I’m proud to contribute to a great product and a better world, and to make a positive impact.”
Growing up in Morocco, Hiba gained an interest for technology at an early age and decided to study Embedded systems engineering. Eager to learn more, she moved to France for research and decided to have a second degree in Automated systems engineering. In 2018 she and her partner got the opportunity to come to Sweden, and in 2019 she joined Scania.
“I consider myself very fortunate to have found a job that matches my education and interest in technology,” she says. “I see myself as a researcher and for the future I have a PhD in my mind, maybe within the electromobility field. Electromobility is the future, and I would love to find sustainable solutions and save our earth and the world.”
