3 Questions for Daniel Trochez Participant in the I-Talent program
Could you describe the culture at Scania using 3 words?
Flexible, Inspirational & Nerdy.
By "Nerdy," I mean that everyone has their own interests, which they are not afraid to share.
Is there anything that surprised you about working at Scania?
Actually, the size of the company. I knew Scania was global with thousands of employees around the world. For example, visiting different factories makes you realize the size of the company and how awesome the logistics are to handle all this. That was certainly an eye-opener!
What made you choose to apply for the I-talent program?
It was very much an "at the right place at the right time" moment for me. I originally applied for a Data Engineering/Analyst role. But after discussions with the recruiter, a newly opened position for I-talent was available, which fit my profile and aspirations. After interviews with the team at Scania, I knew it would be a great fit!
3 Questions for Elin Kinnander Participant in the I-Talent program
Could you describe the culture at Scania using 3 words?
From my experience, I would describe it as non-hierarchical, supportive, and open. There is space for you to come up with your own ideas and projects and follow the path you’re interested in. Oops, I guess that’s a bit more than 3 words.
Is there anything that surprised you about working at Scania?
How easy and quick it was to feel like a part of the team. I would honestly say that it’s been easier to adapt to working as a developer compared to studying at university.
What is the best thing about the I-talent program?
It’s a good start to the company, and you’re able to see different parts of Scania and understand the bigger picture.
One important thing is also meeting other wonderful people through the program who work all over Scania in different roles.
