Temporary workplace priority – Södertälje
Application of the Scania Workplace Design inspiration during the office capacity transition.
In response to increased office presence, the current highest priority in Södertälje is to increase the number of available and functional workstations, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. During this transition, additional workstations are installed based on the existing workplace setup and standard at each location.
Web cameras are not added as standard
External web cameras will not be added as standard when additional workstations are installed, unless this is already part of the existing workplace setup at the location. For hybrid and video meetings, employees should primarily use meeting rooms and focus spaces equipped for this purpose, or use their laptop camera and personal headset where appropriate.
Why this temporary prioritisation?
This instruction is part of the broader capacity approach communicated for the transition to increased office presence. Resources are currently being prioritised towards increasing desk capacity, which means that other workplace improvements and equipment enhancements are temporarily deprioritised.
The Scania Workplace Design Inspiration remains the long-term framework for workplace development. This temporary instruction clarifies how it should be applied in Södertälje during the current capacity transition.
