2020: Efforts to help during the pandemic
Corona pandemic put all parts of society to a straining test and Scania offered support in many ways. Experts from Scania’s purchasing and logistics organisation helped the medical sector in the Stockholm region to acquire protective equipment for hospitals and healthcare workers. Scania's own medical units performed public vaccination for thousands. Global production units helped to produce various equipment and products, such as bottles with sanitisers, face shields and ventilators. At the same time, trailers from Scania were converted into mobile testing stations.
