West Pennine Trucks commits to Knighton

5th December 2022

West Pennine Trucks Ltd. has confirmed its long-term commitment to Knighton by relocating its Knighton depot from Station Road to a new site on Ludlow Road.

The new location, less than a mile from the current site, will include additional workshop space, the ability to stock a larger variety of parts, provide modern driver facilities and improve driver accessibility with extra parking and space to manoeuvre vehicles.

The Knighton depot already plays an important role in providing local businesses with technical expertise from Scania trained technicians, a comprehensive parts operation, new and used vehicle sales and bespoke service and repair and maintenance packages.

This continued commitment to Knighton and the local community will allow West Pennine Trucks to accommodate and support the growing transport and logistics businesses across the region.

Steve Howard, Managing Director of West Pennine Trucks Ltd. said, “We’ve outgrown our current location and I’m delighted to be able to commit to the transport and logistics community of Mid Wales by providing them with a depot fit for the future.”

Howard continues, “Our team at Knighton take immense pride in delivering excellent levels of customer service and I’m confident that our move to a new site will further enhance our offering.” The move is on schedule to be completed by the beginning of 2023.

West Pennine Trucks, Knighton will be looking for new members to join the team at the new location and would like to encourage anyone with an interest in automotive, transport or logistics or with experience in parts, service or as a mechanic/technician to register their interest by emailing contactWPT@scania.com and referencing ‘Knighton’ in the title.

Alternatively feel free to drop your CV in to the team.
