West Pennine Trucks forms platinum partnership with West Mercia Search and Rescue

West Pennine Trucks and West Mercia Search and Rescue’s platinum partnership continues to go from strength to strength. Last year, West Pennine Trucks joined forces with West Mercia Search and Rescue in the vital, and often lifesaving work they deliver in moments of urgent need. As part of the partnership, West Pennine Trucks service the charity’s entire fleet at their Telford depot, while also providing annual funding and holding fundraising activities across the wider West Pennine Trucks network.
West Mercia Search and Rescue sits at the heart of our network, covering Shropshire where three West Pennine Truck depots are located. Their volunteers work tirelessly, responding to emergencies, supporting local services, and helping families during some of their most difficult moments.
By supporting them, we’re strengthening the bond between our depots and the communities we serve, while helping ensure this essential service can continue its incredible work. It’s a partnership built on shared values: commitment, readiness, and putting the people who use our services first.
Richard Gilliland, Managing Director at West Pennine Trucks, said: “We’re honoured to support West Mercia Search and Rescue. The hard work they do is truly exceptional, and we’re proud to stand behind the volunteers who dedicate their time and expertise to helping others.”
Gilliand continued “We want to continue to support West Mercia in the years ahead, supporting their outreach programmes, maintaining their fleet and help raise funds for vital equipment.”
