60 seconds with grant bryant

6th March 2019

This month we’re catching up with Grant, he joined the business back when it was Ro-Truck in 1994! Grant has worked his way up from starting as a Parts Van Driver when he left school. He’s one of our most experienced parts staff members having worked at Stowmarket, Witham and now supervising the parts department at Felixstowe, as well as helping out other depots as and when he can.

Three words people would use to describe you?

Funny, kind, smart

How do you see the trucking industry evolving over the next 12 months?

I think there will be more of a focus on the driver – their needs and comfort

What is your favourite thing about your job?

The people I work with, we have a great team

Grant is now now supervising the parts department at Felixstowe, as well as helping out other depots as and when he can.

If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would buy?

A new house, big enough to fit my whole family!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given

I’d say there’s two - always stay calm under pressure, and try to see things from other points of view.

How did you get into the industry and why?

I wasn’t sure what to do when I finished school, until bumped into an old friend, James Crouch (Area Sales Manager). He told me about a parts role that was available at Stowmarket, so I went to the interview and I’ve been with TruckEast ever since!

Where would your dream holiday destination be?

Greece, I love the people there

What technology innovation has made the biggest impact on your life?

To be honest, I think technology is the burden of my life – so none

James Corden
