PC Coaches of Lincoln take three coaches

Three Euro 6 Scania Irizar i6 coaches for PC Coaches

PC Coaches of Lincoln Limited has recently taken delivery of three Scania Irizar i6 luxury touring coaches.  All three vehicles are 13.22-metres in length and are based on 410 horsepower Scania K 410 EB6x2*4 chassis.  Interior fitments include 53 reclining seats with half leather, leather piping, three-point seatbelts and USB charging points at each seat, together with centre sunken toilet, drinks machine, Satellite navigation, DVD player and two monitors, extra dark tinted glass and Alcoa Dura-Bright alloy wheels.

Peter Smith, Managing Director of P C Coaches, says, "I was looking for three new Euro 6 coaches for our own tour programme.  They had to be full executive specification with extra leg room and offer high levels of comfort for passengers travelling on longer journeys.  The Scania Irizar i6 has all this and more.

"Since they have been in use we continue to receive great feedback from passengers, and passenger numbers on our own programme have increased since these vehicles joined our fleet.

"The designs for the coaches are created by my son Gary Smith – who creates all our designs, and which are great – and are based on destinations within our holiday brochures.

"As a company we have a great relationship with Scania and our new sales manager Richard Austin has been a great help pointing us in the right direction with these vehicles.

"We are Lincolnshire’s largest independent family run operator with a fleet of 95 vehicles, of which 55 are Scania.  Our first Scania was purchased in 1988, and from that point onwards a decision was made to continue with Scania. The back up with service and parts is excellent, and any issues that do arise are dealt with in a manner you would expect from a company like Scania – we thank them for this."
