Starting out for Success

How does it work?

Programmes run from 12 months to three years depending on the qualification and business area, combining full-time on-the-job learning with scheduled training at our Scania Learning Academy. Welcome to your first step towards a career at Scania. 

Training

Our new apprentices receive individual coaching, support and guidance from a dedicated mentor. Mentors are experienced in their chosen field and support personal and professional development through a structured training schedule, offering you the opportunity to learn side by side with those who know Scania best. 

An apprenticeship with Scania is not just about work, it’s where friendships are made and exciting experiences are shared, including meeting the wider group of new apprentices during our experiential learning block in the Peak District. We work with the Lindley Educational Trust to to offer you the opportunity to create an unforgettable start to your career.

We are committed to training our apprentices and you can expect to receive an industry recognised qualification – setting you up for your next chapter. 

Apprentice induction residential

Each year our newest Apprentices are welcomed to Scania by joining us for residential stay at Lindley Trust in the Peak District.

 

Here they will get the opportunity to meet their peers, learn some new skills, experience Scania's core values and grow.

Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician

Duration: 36 Months

Level: Level 3

 

Overview


A Heavy Vehicle (HV) technician services, inspects and repairs HV’s and works on all the systems found within the vehicle. The nature of the work ranges from replacing simple parts through to solving complex faults with the use of diagnostic methods and equipment. Day-to-day tasks faced by a technician are exciting and constantly changing, driven by the introduction of ever more complex technologies and diagnostic techniques.

 

It’s a rewarding, dynamic and in-demand career so if you enjoy getting hands on, this could be the apprenticeship you’ve been looking for.

Aftersales Parts Advisor

Aftersales Parts Advisor

Duration: 21 – 36 Months

Level: Level 3

 

Overview


Supply Chain is at the heart of every business, especially a vehicle parts department. It is the system of organisations, people, activities, information, and resources involved in moving Scania products to our customers.

 

A Scania Parts Advisor, has a comprehensive understanding of the entire supply chain and they are responsible for delivering the best value and service to our customers.

 

If you love developing and growing relationships and delivering excellent customer service in an exciting industry this apprenticeship is a great option.

Customer Advisor

Duration: 12 – 30 months

Level: Level 2 and / or Level 3

 

Overview


As one of the first faces our customers will see when bringing their vehicles to our sites, the customer service advisor is the face of Scania. First impressions count and the delivery of excellent customer service starts with this role.

 

A Scania Customer Service Advisor will manage the key communication links with our customers and colleagues to ensure that customer requirements are met and the experience with Scania is flawless.

 

You’ll need excellent communication and relationship skills and want to work in a fast-paced role, apply today if offering best in class customer service comes naturally to you.
