Scania’s range of industry leading 13-litre engines is now complemented by a 540 hp version. The new engine is primarily intended for applica­tions and customers where lots of power and drivability are in demand while weight sensitivity or limitations such as front-axle loads hinder the use of Scania’s slightly heavier V8 engines which start at 520 hp.

Scania is adding hybrid-related services that enhances Scania’s solution sales and the TOE (total operating economy) approach. Scania’s hybrid contract follows the same principles as Flexible Maintenance – offering the best uptime based on planned operation and predictable costs. The contracted service will cover the entire vehicle, including the propulsion battery.

Scania is launching a new 16-litre V8 biogas engine at this year’s Middle East Electricity (MEE) trade fair in Dubai. As the product portfolio expands to meet customer demands and emission legislations, Scania is presenting engines for power generation using alternative fuels in order to provide sustainable solutions.

At Busworld Europe 2019, Scania presents its new generation buses for city and suburban operations. Leading with the Scania Citywide battery electric bus, the range will encompass buses for all fuel variants with the most comprehensive offer of alternative fuels in the market.
