Ready for the road

10 JUNE 2019

Salespeople often make bold delivery promises but that Scania actually manages to ship ahead of schedule is a rare occurrence. Fleet Sales Manager Odd Dalland at Norsk Scania was therefore thrilled when the last of 55 identical deliveries of P 500 B6x2*4NB trucks to Norway’s Ringnes Brewery, a subsidiary of Carlsberg, left Scania in Södertälje.

“After receiving the order, the customer came back to us with 13 additional points that had been overlooked,” says Dalland. “One of those was the 2.5-tonne tail lift, which has never before been assembled by the FFU workshop in Södertälje. “We’ve been able to deliver trucks that are ready for operation immediately, complete with logos. And that translates into quicker payment and a better cash flow.”

Ringnes Brewery was so pleased with the delivery that less than two weeks after receiving the last truck, they fired off an additional order for another 28 trucks.
