Scania named “Truck of the Year 2017” in Russia

Following on the success of being awarded International Truck of the Year 2017, Scania’s new generation trucks were recently awarded Best Commercial Vehicle of 2017 in Russia.
The winner is determined by a jury consisting of 10 journalists from the Russian automotive and transport trade press. The jury particularly noted Scania’s high safety level, comfortable driver environment and overall economy for transport companies.
The primary consideration was that Scania significantly contributes to greater transport efficiency. On 3 August, Scania-Rus handed over the first new generation S 500 Euro 6 trucks to the Russian transport companies Blazer, Nordland and Trasko.
“Winning ‘Truck of the Year’ in Russia means getting the recognition of the whole Russian transport industry,” says Wojciech Rowinski , Managing Director at Scania-Rus. “This award is the result of a lot of hard work and great commitment by the Scania team and we are happy that an independent professional jury in Russia came to the same conclusion as the European jury. It’s clear that Next Generation Scania is the future for the heavy truck industry in Russia.”
