Education: Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, MSc, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics, BSc.

 

Joined Scania 1992, employed until 2004. Rejoined Scania in 2009.

 

Mats Gunnarsson joined Scania as a trainee in 1992 after graduating from university. Mats Gunnarsson has held a number of management positions at Scania and Volkswagen, including Managing Director of Scania Argentina, Director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Sweden, and Managing Director of Scania France. Between 2004 and 2009 he left to work outside Scania. In 2017, he was appointed Executive Regional Director Americas within Commercial Operations and he took up his current position as Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Operations in 2021.
