Scania Family returns for a special marine mini-series, focusing on the lives of our friends at the RNLI and Gosport Ferry. Despite their distinctly different operations, both rely heavily on dependable engines.

 

The RNLI hope to deploy their vessels less frequently, but demand unwavering performance in critical moments. Whereas Gosport Ferry maintains a constant operation and at a slower pace, but nevertheless is a service that keeps peoples’ lives moving.

Episode 1: RNLI (The Royal National Lifeboat Institution)

Episode 2: Gosport Ferry

While Gosport Ferry are busy being the main commuter link between Portsmouth and Gosport 18.5 hours a day, every day, Scania are there to make sure their ferries have the most durable and reliable engines. After all their Scania engines have to run to the moon and back approximately 6 times in their lifecycle which is around 27,000 hours.
