Scania Boston redevelopment is now complete
Scania Boston, a key branch in the 88-strong Scania network in the UK, has completed the redevelopment of a new facility on Station Road, Swineshead, Boston.
Just a few miles from the original location, the new premises boasts over £800,000 of investment and is conveniently located adjacent to the A17, the main trunk road joining the North of England to East Anglia.
The workshop has ten bays - an additional three in comparison to the previous facility, including two pits, additional brake rollers and tachograph testing equipment. There is extensive truck parking, state-of-the-art driver reception and rest area as well as vastly improved staff welfare facilities.
The branch is also now able to offer more dealer fit options to customers, including hydraulic tipping gear equipment.
The redeveloped premises are the new regional office for the whole of the East region so will be a centralised base for regional meetings and conferences.
Regional Executive Director for the East Region, Geoff Bell, said: “It’s fantastic that the work is now complete on our site in Boston. We moved in a while ago so have been used to work being finished off while we’re here, so it’s great to have everything finished. The whole feel of the site is extremely different to our previous location and it’s fantastic to have so much space. Our team has increased by around 9% year-on-year and is still expanding, so we are now able to offer our customers more services in a facility comparable to the premium Scania product.”
Opening hours for the site are 06.00-22.00 (Monday to Friday), 06.00-16.00 (Saturday) and 06.00-14.00 (Sunday).
