Straffords Coaches selects Scania once again
Straffords Coaches of Wrexham has once again opted for Scania with the purchase of two Scania Touring HD coaches.
Both vehicles are based on Scania's 360 horsepower K 360 IB4x2 chassis. One of the vehicles is equipped with 51 reclining seats, three-point seat belts, leather headpads and piping, centre sunken toilet, Frenzl drinks unit, USB charging sockets, climate control air conditioning and a DVD player with two monitors. The second vehicle is a 53-seat version without the toilet and drinks machine.
Straffords Coaches Managing Director Tony Strafford comments, "We purchased our first new Scania in 2005 and have been extremely happy with the performance of that, and all of the subsequent vehicles that we have purchased since. We have been in business 30 years this year so when looking for a vehicle to commemorate this milestone we had no hesitation again to choose a Scania.
"Scania's UK Retail Sales Manager Lee Wale always listens to our needs when looking for a new coach and then selects a vehicle within the range to satisfy our needs. We told him that we were looking for a 'workhorse' vehicle for this purchase and he showed us the Scania Touring. The vehicle specification is exceptional, when you weigh up what is included in the price it really demonstrates such value for money that we decided to purchase two vehicles. We receive excellent service from our local dealer, Deeside Commercials in Altami , They really have a 'can do' attitude which is what an operator needs."
