CELEBRATORY WIN AT 2020 COMMERCIAL MOTOR AWARDS

TruckEast’s Managing Director, John Biggin, is awarded the prestigious title of ‘Dealer Principle of the Year’ at the Commercial Motor Awards 2020.
The awards ceremony, although a little different this year, celebrate the strength and excellence of those working in new and used commercial vehicles. Covering 14 different categories, the awards have expanded over the last five years and include things such as the customer service award, apprentice of the year, sales team of the year, recovery operator of the year and so on. Instead of the usual glitz and glamour, the ceremony and results were broadcast online on Thursday 1st October.
Announcing the winner, Will Shiers, Editor of Commercial Motor comments, “Our winner is a leading industry figure at an immensely successful dealer group, representing a top franchise. This person has built a strong and successful business across many sites serving customers and the wider transport industry.”
John has been the owner and MD of TruckEast for 13 years and has led its transformation of growth and success over the years to become one of the best performing dealer groups in the Scania network.

Its ongoing success can be attributed to its levels of customer service and ability to listen and adapt to the needs of operators across East Anglia, something always driven from the top.
“It’s an honour to be acknowledged with this award, but at TruckEast it really is a team effort. We believe strongly in giving the best service that we can and everyone plays a part in that,” expresses John.
“Whilst it’s been a difficult year we look forward to the future and continuing to support our customers, together,” he adds.
The award is the second to be celebrated by TruckEast in 2020, who won the top spot in Scania’s network wide competition ‘Dealer Development Award’ earlier in the year.
