West Pennine Trucks and Haydock Commercial Vehicles triumph in Scania UK’s 2022 team awards

  • West Pennine Trucks Trafford Park wins Scania UK’s 2022 Service Team Award
  • The Manchester-based service centre triumphed over TruckEast Northampton and Scania Shepton Mallet to claim the prize
  • Haydock Commercial Vehicles claimed Scania UK’s 2022 Dealer Team Award, beating West Pennine Trucks and Keltruck to the accolade

 

Milton Keynes, UK, 2 May 2023: Scania UK has announced the winners of its 2022 Service and Dealer Team awards.

 

The year-long initiative, saw West Pennine Trucks’ Trafford Park claim the service team prize, while Haydock Commercial Vehicles won the dealer team award.

 

Richard Gray, Finance Director at Scania UK, said: “It’s a pleasure recognising those delivering the best customer support and service in our network.

 

“I want to thank everyone in our network for continuing to deliver such outstanding service for our valued customers. And of course, share my special congratulations with Trafford Park  and Haydock Commercial Vehicles for their performances throughout 2022.”

 

The objective of the competition is to continuously drive improvements in the levels of service customers can experience throughout Scania’s UK network.

Service Team of the Year

 

Manchester-based service centre, West Pennine Trucks Trafford Park beat TruckEast Northampton and Scania Shepton Mallet, who finished second and third respectively.

 

The year-long competition recognises excellence in technical service procedures and customer satisfaction given by each Scania Authorised Workshop across the UK.

 

Andy Duncan, General Manager at West Pennine Trucks Trafford Park, said: “I’m extremely proud of my whole team. It’s a massive achievement, I’m over the moon and couldn’t ask for any more from the team.

 

“I already had a talented team delivering their best for our customers, all we’ve done is harness the power of good teamwork. The results speak for themselves.”

Scania UK’s Service Team Award competition runs throughout the year constantly measuring the performance of all 80 service centres in the UK.

 

The branches are marked on seven main performance criteria including: MOT pass rates, Scania Assistance’s performance, quality of customer vehicle maintenance and customer satisfaction results.

Dealer Team of the Year

 

North West-based independent dealership, Haydock Commercial Vehicles beat West Pennine Trucks and Keltruck, who finished second and third respectively.

 

The year-long focused initiative recognises excellent service given to customers by each of the 12 dealer groups across the UK.

 

Haydock Commercial Vehicles claimed the prize based on its overall performance of its five locations in Warrington, Preston, Widnes, Deeside and Ellesmere Port.

 

Mark Robertson, Managing Director of Haydock Commercial Vehicles, said winning Scania UK’s 2022 Dealer Team Awards was a testament to the team’s focus on delivering excellent customer service, adding:

Scania UK’s Dealer Team Award programme measures the commercial performance across ten main criteria including: selling of complete sales and service solutions, advanced training and competency development, sustainable reductions in energy and overall customer satisfaction.
