Scania UK appoints Paul Smith as its new Dealer Director for Scotland

• Paul Smith is promoted from Head of Sales in Scotland to Dealer Director.
• He has been part of the Scania Scotland family for more than 28 years, after starting his career as a Technician in 1994.

Milton Keynes, UK, 9th January 2023: Scania UK is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Dealer Director for Scotland.

Paul Smith, who has been covering the role since August 2022, will be responsible for leading the Scania Scotland team into the future.

He comes with a wealth of experience after joining Scania UK in 1994 as a Technician.

Paul soon went on to become Workshop Foreman at Scania Edinburgh, before gaining his MT10 Technician status and being promoted to Workshop Controller in 2002.

In 2005, he moved away from the tools and into a sales role covering the East of Scotland and became the go-to person for Specialist Vehicle Sales. In 2020, Paul was promoted to his most recent role as Head of Sales in Scotland.

Paul replaces James Colbourne who was promoted to Executive Services Director for Scania UK in April 2022.
