Cecilia Edström appointed Senior Vice President of Scania

Cecilia Edström has been appointed Senior Vice President and head of Scania Corporate Relations. She will take up her new post on 1 September and will become a member of Scania’s Group Management. Cecilia Edström succeeds Johan Haeggman, who has been appointed Head of Economy and Finance Scania Latin America.

Cecilia Edström, who was born in 1966, joined Scania in 1995 as head of Investor Relations. In 2001, she was appointed head of the Strategy, Business and Brand Development unit, with responsibility for coordination of the company’s strategic decision-making processes.

Cecilia Edström is a MBA graduate specialising in financial and macro economics. Between getting her degree from the School of Economics in Stockholm in 1989 and 1995 when she came to Scania, she held various positions at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken Corporate Finance.

In her role as head of Corporate Relations, Cecilia Edström will report to Leif Östling, President and CEO of Scania. Corporate Relations includes responsibility for a variety of areas, e. g. Scania’s communication with the media, equity and capital markets, politicians and public authorities.
