Meet our employee Jenny Franzén
20 OCTOBER 2026
Jenny joined Scania in 2022 with no experience in the industry. In just a few years, she has gone from operator in Assembly to teamleader in the Body Shop.
- What I remember best is the welcoming. We became a great group and I still hang out with many of them. After a few months, she wanted to develop and learn more and became first deputy teamleader and then teamleader.
When the opportunity came to switch to the Body Shop, Jenny took it.
- I was very confident at the Assembly, but also curious. I don't regret taking the step.
In the Body Shop, she encountered a larger, robot-controlled plant that required more planning and a different way of thinking.
- I had never worked with robots before and learned a lot in a short time to be able to plan the work and understand how the plant works.
At the same time, she has benefited from the experience from the Assembly.
- I know how the work on the lines works and how what we do here affects the next step. It gives a larger perspective.
Jenny's biggest driving force is the opportunity to influence both the business and the operators' everyday lives. She wants to create a group where people thrive, feel involved and dare to come to her.
- As a leader, you are contagious. I try to focus on solutions and get the group involved. I want people to feel that they can come to me, no matter what it is.
Working in an environment where men are in the majority has not been an obstacle. Instead, Jenny emphasizes the support from colleagues in both Assembly and Body Shop.
- Regardless of whether my colleagues have been men or women, I have always received support and advice. Many of them have helped make me who I am today.
- I've never felt alone. You shouldn't get caught up in the fact that it's mostly men – if you want to take the next step, you should dare to do it.
In parallel with her work, she is studying to become a production technician through Nova and hopes to graduate in December. Combining work, studies and leisure time has been demanding, but worth it. Jenny does not know exactly what the next step will be, but wants to continue to develop. She is most proud of having dared to leave the security and start over in a completely new business.
- It's probably the biggest step I've taken. It's a lot of new things in the beginning, but once you get into it, you won't regret it.
