How does Skill Capture work?

  • We take a systemic approach to help managers and their teams work with our employees to their fullest potential.

  • We hold initial Skill Capture Labs for all management teams. 

  • When the managers are trained, they train their employees, by cascading the messages down through their organisations through awareness programmes and group work. Each department then sets its own activities.

  • Our annual Employee Barometer has three questions on Diversity and Inclusion, to measure the effect of our work with Skill Capture and whether progress is being made, and we act on the feedback.

  • We follow up these initiatives: our Skill Capture team meet our Executive Board three times a year to update them on our progress.

My name is Chee Seng. I am a Business Intelligence Specialist with Scania Southeast Asia. I like working in Scania because we are not just about talking, not just about concepts. We Drive Real Change together with our customers and our colleagues. An example is the Scania Ecolution Report that we have developed together with my colleagues. The report helps customers and us to have a fruitful discussion on how to reduce CO2 emissions in their operations while maximising their profitability. With this, I hope we leave behind a better tomorrow for my kids.


My name is Janelle. I’m the Customer Service Advisor at Scania. I’ve been with Scania for four years now. Given my previous background in the automotive industry, I am glad to be part of the Scania family. I believe passion has no gender and Scania continues to give me the opportunity to grow further, strengthening my technical knowledge with my colleagues and customers. I get to be connected with the ever-growing female customers, colleagues and create a brand for Scania that we are their one-stop solution for all their business needs.


My name is Munishwari. I am the Scania Assistance Service Coordinator. Based in Bukit Jelutong, I have been doing this job for more than a year and I love it! I speak four languages enabling me to attend to all callers seeking assistance in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and Tamil. I consider my role in Scania Assistance a very important one, as I am the link between the customers that requires the assistance and the technicians who will attend to their needs in the shortest time possible, anywhere in the country. My job is very challenging but fulfilling, as I get to help people in dire situations. While waiting for any assistance that’s required, I will spend whatever available time to occupy myself with E-Learning programs and these learnings are abundantly available within the Scania network. Access to knowledge has no barriers.
