Overview

The Business Development Executive is responsible for the sale and marketing of TruckEast’s range of products and services at customer level. With a focus on driving growth in our contract portfolio they will support key branches across both Cambridgeshire and Norfolk with both existing and new customers.

essential duties and job responsibilities

  • Pro-active selling and marketing of TruckEast’s range of products and promotions in line with agreed sales and profitability targets to new and existing customers.
  •  Key products:
    • Support programmes (Repair and Maintenance and Service Contracts)
    • Tail-lift and fridge maintenance and contracts
    • Fixed price repairs
    • Parts Sales
    • Contract renewals
  • Maintaining regular and professional contact with customers and prospects
  • Actively utilise and maintain customer data within Scania CRM system
  • Ensuring professional and consistent handling of contract documentation
  • The identification and conversion of new business opportunities for our contract portfolio
  • Develop internal customer relations to optimise Aftersales and Support Programmes product penetration – new sales, used sales
  • Ensure a quality customer focus is maintained to support the Scania and TruckEast brand values
  • Any other duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your manager

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience and knowledge of the automotive industry (Desirable)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to organise owkr on own iniative and work under pressure
  • Ability to work unsupervised and to set own targets
  • Good Computer skills
  • Effective negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Ability to identify opportunities for business development within the region 
  • Comfortable with cold calling new customers
  • Motivated by successful target achievement
