Parts Supervisor

Location: TruckEast Corby, Darwin Road, Willowbrook East Industrial Estate, Corby, Northamptonshire, NN17 5XZ

Job Type: Monday-Friday, alternating by week 08:00 - 17:00 and 09:00 - 18:00. Alternating Saturdays 08:00 - 12:00

 

Reporting to: Branch Manager

Overview

The Parts Supervisor is responsible for the control of front and rear Parts counters and controlling stock movements.

essential duties and job responsibilities

  • Effectively manage the front and back counter operations
  • Ensure parts are delivered to the customer within the agreed timeframe
  • Build and develop customer relationships, deliver excellent customer service, inform customers of promotions and drive sales within the department
  • Work Collaboratively with the workshop, other departments and branches
  • Ensure warrant returns and dervice exhange units are processed regularly 
  • Ensure the parts department maintains housekeeping and operational standards
  • Stock management. Overseeing the full journey, from processing stock in, preparing parts for the workshop and customers, to returns and services exchanges
  • Liaise with suppliers and chase supplier credits
  • Complete relevant documentation inculding invoicing
  • Ensure VOR/Freight charge costs are managed efficiently 
  • Run reports and sction items arising
  • Oversee parts team
  • Any other duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determind by your manager

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • High level of computer literacy
  • Knowledge of Scania parts and systems
  • Current driving licence
  • Ability to work within a team  
  • Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills         
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Solution-driven approach
  • Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
  • Possess excellent accuracy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent organisation and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure

 

DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Fork Lift Licence (FLT)
  • Experience on Scania product
  • Main dealer parts experience
