Overview
The Workshop Foreman is responsible for the smooth running of the Workshop. Overseeing the Technician team, ensuring key performance indicators are achieved, whilst maintaining positive relationships with our customers.
essential duties and job responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard
- Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
- Oversee branch team, including monitoring timekeeping and productivity, authorising overtime, and identifying training needs
- Establish a positive working relationship with all branch departments and other branches
- Achieve and strive to exceed customer service level expectations and agreements
- Deal with queries in an effective manner, ensuring all actions are met
- Assist in training and development programs for branch staff
- Maximise the profitability of both parts and service departments, including continual improvements in utilisation of staff and efficiency levels
- Lead and motivate the team
- Access, produce and follow up all quotations for all types of equipment
- Remain up to date with all relevant legal requirements
- Ensure company vehicles are maintained to the required standard
- Any other duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your manager
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Technical Qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Qualified Technician) or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles
- Current driving licence
- Autoline 8.35 use
- Supervisory or management experience
- LGV/HGV licence
- Current driving license
- Ability to work within a team
- Excellent organisation and analytical skills

- High level of computer literacy
