Reporting to: Bodyshop Manager
Overview
The Bodyshop Foreman is responsible the supervision of our Bodyshop team who are responsible for the repair of
damaged vehicles and trailers, and the preparation of new vehicles. Ensuring effective communication between
colleagues, customers, suppliers and contractors.
essential duties and job responsibilities
- Supervise all staff, including monitoring of timekeeping, productivity and workload management
- Ensure write ups are completed to the required standard
- Ensure a high quality of customer service is always delivered; maintaining open communication with customers, suppliers and contractors
- Establish a close working relationship with all departments
- Liaising with third party contractors, on and off-site
- Ensure the department maintains adequate stock levels of parts and consumables
- Deal with queries in an effective manner, ensuring all actions are met
- Assist in completing estimates for new business
- Oversee the department in the absence of the Bodyshop Manager
- Any other duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your manager
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Current driving licence
- Ability to work within a team
- Ability to work within guidelines and to deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer service and people management skills
- High level of computer literacy
- Detail orientated
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and have a solutiondriven approach
- Possess excellent accuracy and numeracy skills
- Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
- Supervisory/management experience
- HGV licence
- Commercial bodyshop experience
