Suffolk Team take on 50km Thames Path Ultra Challenge

This September, a team from our Bury St Edmunds and Felixstowe branches will be coming together to take on one of our biggest challenges yet - the Thames Path Ultra Challenge.

On Saturday 12th September, our team will walk 50 kilometres along the Thames Path from Putney to Runnymede, raising money for Alzheimer's Research UK. Although the route itself is relatively gentle, with mostly flat terrain, the sheer distance itself will make this a true test of endurance. Covering 50km on foot in a single day, will push our team physically and mentally, requiring determination, preparation and team spirit to help get each other through.

But this challenge isn't just about completing the distance. It's about supporting the search for better treatments and ultimately, a cure for dementia. We are a determined team and want to make a difference by literally stepping out of our comfort zone.

Like so many families across the UK, many of us have experienced the impact of dementia first-hand. That's why we've chosen to support Alzheimer's Research UK and the incredible work they do to fund research, improve understanding and their mission towards a cure.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will help fund vital research that brings us one step closer to a world free from dementia.

If you are able to support our cause, we'd be hugely grateful. Your generosity will give our team extra motivation for every mile they complete. Visit our just giving page below:
