TruckEast raises £20,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support with Norfolk's Mighty Hike!

Last month, 25 of our amazing colleagues laced up their boots, braved the elements (sunshine and winds), and completed a gruelling hike across the Norfolk Coast. All to raise funds and awareness of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event, set over Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May, challenged hikers to either a 26-mile or 14-mile route which pushed the team both mentally and physically. Their determination carried them every step of the way - across shingle beaches, winding coastal paths and picturesque fishing villages all in the name of a cause close to many of our hearts.

With hours on their feet, steep climbs and plenty of blisters, the team were united by an unwavering sense of purpose.

The most successful fundraiser to date

Thanks to their incredible efforts, not only did they conquer this mighty challenge, but they have collectively raised an outstanding £20,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support - making this our most successful fundraising event yet. And in true TruckEast spirit, they did it together, lifting each other up (sometimes literally) along the way.

Harley Coulson, Managing Director comments, "I am so proud of our team and our generous supporters for their amazing efforts. Having completed the hike myself, I know the resilience it requires. Each step we took was not just a step closer to the finish line, but toward making a difference.

"It is with great pleasure that we can donate this phenomenal amount of money to the team at Macmillan and support a cause close to so many of our hearts."

Jade Lambert, Regional Relationship Fundraising Manager for Macmillan Cancer Support, adds: "We are incredibly grateful to everyone at TruckEast for their support of Macmillan through this year's Norfolk Mighty Hike. Raising £20,000 is an extraordinary achievement that will help us to continue to provide vital care and support to people living with cancer, right when they need it most. The dedication shown by the team and wider commnunity is truly inspiring, and we're so proud to have you as part of our Macmillan family."
