Raising The Bar With The New Scania Gemilang F360 Bus

That is why our new Gemilang F360 6x2 bus has been engineered with the customer and their business in mind and inspired by the passengers who travel in the bus and the drivers’ who will drive the bus. The new bus model has been built with robustness to heighten performance because we are introducing a bus into the market that sets world-class standards in safety, comfort, fuel efficiency, reliability and uptime.
Setting New Standards
Sitting on a 360 horse powered 6x2 chassis, the lightweight aluminium body of the bus, for superior load capacity has been built by Gemilang International in Malaysia and will be locally assembled by Associated Vehicle Assemblers (AVA) and made available across the region.
The bus has been fitted with the Scania Opticruise, a feature that will now be in all Scania buses and coaches delivered in East Africa. This automated gear changing system benefits drivers, passengers and operators in several ways. Besides improving comfort and eliminating the need to watch revs and change gears, it enables the driver to devote more attention to handling the vehicle and to other vehicles on the road. Wear-and-tear is also reduced on the clutch and other powertrain components, increasing service life.
The Gemilang bus attains world class safety standards by having an internationally recognized R66 rollover certificate including a hill hold function that prevents the vehicle from rolling when starting on a gradient, enabling a safer start. CCTV dome cameras with 48 hours recording have also been installed in the bus as a security feature in enhancing the safety of the passengers and the bus crew.
The new bus model delivers the best experience for the drivers with an instrument panel that has been ergonomically designed with the driver’s position in focus and a seating area with improved direct visibility. Giving the driver perfect control and a spacious feel behind the wheel.
