New Senior Vice President Accounting and Corporate Control at Scania
As announced, Executive Vice President Lars Ohlsson-Leijon will resign his position as CFO, at the Scania Annual General Meeting on 24 April. This will coincide with a reorganisation of the company's accounting, corporate control and finance operations and the discontinuation of the position as CFO.
The new organisation will consist of two functions, a Finance department and a department called Accounting and Corporate Control. The current Senior Vice President of Finance, Mr Bertil Persson, will continue as Finance Director, reporting directly to Scania's CEO. Mr Peter Härnwall has been appointed Senior Vice President Accounting and Corporate Control, and will also report directly to the CEO. Both will be members of Scania's Executive Management.
Peter Härnwall, currently head of Accounting at Scania Sverige AB, one of Scania´s major Swedish subsidiaries, has worked in the Scania organisation since 1983.Scania is one of the world's leading manufacturers of trucks and buses for heavy transport applications, and of industrial and marine engines. With 22,200 employees and production facilities in Europe and Latin America, Scania is one of the most profitable companies in its sector. In 1996, turnover totalled approx. SEK 33,700 million and profits after depreciation approx. SEK 2,700 million. Scania products are marketed in about 100 countries worldwide and approximately 95% of total production is sold outside Sweden.
