Tax Supervisor - One Year Contract

The key responsibility of this role is to ensure the tax policies are well implemented, tax compliance and government reports required by local authorities for Scania China entities well completed in a regular basis, with the aim to build a robust tax control framework and ensure all tax risks are well managed.

 

Professional Competencies (Duties and Tasks) 职业能力(职责与任务)

1.Tax Compliance and Reporting

  • Be responsible for tax compliance on a regular basis independently
  • Lead the tax consultant to maintain routine tax duty, including Value Added Tax and Surcharges, Corporate Income Tax, Stamp Duty, Fapiao management. Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of tax filing data to tax authorities
  • Complete all the local report or declaration required by the local government, including but not limited to statistic report, annual joint inspection, foreign investment inspection, commercial committee declaration, etc.
  • Manage all the compliance requirement on outbound payment, e.g., perform contract registration, complete outbound payment archive report, withhold tax on the overseas payment cases.
  • Identify and pursue tax optimization/efficiency opportunities to elevate entities financial performance/business models
  • Keep current with new tax laws, regulations and positions taken by the major taxing authorities, determine their effect on the company and advise management of any major impacts
  • Lead statutory compliance to ensure all legal entities fully comply with all local taxes business laws and regulations
  • Manage the tax policies and SOPs to ensure effective control and compliance are in place to mitigate tax risk exposures of the company. Engage in tax benefit risk assessment for business projects
  • Coordinate with and report to the HQ Tax Department in relation to any significant tax issues and support tax related reporting based on tax authorities’ requests
  • Provide Fapiao management consultations to the business operations
  • Research and analyse new tax regulations policies and guidelines; provide tax advice support in business and important projects
  • Reviewing contracts from tax perspective

2. Transfer Pricing

  • Manage relevant projects with the aim to support and manage inter-company pricing for new and existing value chains and provide strategic guidance regarding tax and business efficient supply chains
  • Review and update processes regarding tax changes. Work closely with group tax department on tax issues such as inter-company charges transfer price merge and acquisition projects etc. to fulfil tax requirement and realize tax benefit
  • Assist in supporting and reviewing the TP related documentation, e.g., TP local file, master file, etc.
  • Collection and communication of financial data to support annual transfer pricing review/documentation and to meet TP compliance requirement according to PRC tax regulation
  • Be responsible for the whole charge-out business incl. bookkeep and money collection and make sure the contracts are in place.

3.Tax Audit & Training

  • Managing and coordinating tax audits; closely support all external and internal audit within the scope of tax operation and ensure the timely and effectively feedback.
  • Complete annual CIT filings including the related party transaction forms before deadline
  • Provide advice on process improvements for other tax functional teams and perform internal health check/audits on the needed basis
  • Support all China income tax and indirect tax audits for China entities in different locations
  • Provide guidance to the team on tax issues and questions
  • Undertake taxes training and professional technical sharing

4. Ad hoc

  • Provide help-desk tax reply on inquiries from colleagues for daily operation
  • Tax process optimization, e.g, invoicing automation, RPA project on VAT process

 

Desirable experience & qualifications

  • Bachelor's or above degree, graduated from accredited university
  • Majored in economics, finance or accounting
  • Knowledge of taxation, accounting, economic and international trade finance
  • Proficiency with tax policy and accounting knowledge and at least 5 years’ experiences, whereof 2 years’ experiences with a big-4 consultant or in the international industrial sector or relevant Chinese Authorities
  • Experience in dealing with tax authorities in tax policy consulting, tax matters communication, and tax audit
  • Competency of communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in English verbal, and writing
